Care, Support and Guidance
At The Birkenhead Park School we pride ourselves on giving students the support they need to ensure that they achieve success.
The Birkenhead Park School Student Services Centre provides a 'One-Stop-Shop' for our students; it houses our Attendance Team, Teaching Assistants, Heads of Year and Assistant Heads of Year for Years 8-11. The centre also has a dedicated receptionist to deal with any enquries from parents and students.
The highly trained centre staff are experienced in dealing with young people of all ages and the individual difficulties they may experience during the day; from losing their belongings to relationship problems; health fears to personal losses. First aid trained, they deal with students who feel ill during the school day and will contact you directly if your child needs to go home.
The centre is a hub for professionals working with young people and is focused upon support and early intervention work. We have in place Heads of Year and Assistant Heads of Year whose responsibility is to track and monitor student progress, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.
The Student Services team at The Birkenhead Park School provide the students with the tools and support they need to achieve the very best they can be. The team ensure that students make excellent progress regardless of the students starting point when entering the school.
Our students are at the heart of everything we do at The Birkenhead Park School and our close working relationships with organisations such as Education Welfare, School Health Services, Special Educational Needs Service, Social Services serve to ensure every student achieves.
