On Wednesday 11 November, The Birkenhead Park School, took great pride in organising its annual Remembrance Service to mark the Anniversary of World War 1 and 2 which was shared with old boys and girls from the predecessor schools, Governors, students and staff.

Each year group gathered in special Remembrance Assemblies to reflect upon the horrors of conflict and to think about the global suffering caused by war.

Mrs Johnson, Acting Headteacher, commented “It was with great pride and humility that we acknowledge the former students of Park High School and Rock Ferry High School who gave their lives.”

Following the assemblies, the school then held a more private ceremony at their Honours Boards which remembers former Park High School and Rock Ferry High School students who gave their lives in the Second World War. Invited guests included old boys and girls, Governors and family members of a former student, Dale Fleckner. Senior Prefects represented all students when they hung chaplets of poppies to the honours boards.
