9 October 2025
The Birkenhead Park School is delighted to be celebrating an outstanding achievement - having the most improved attendance on the Wirral for the 2024-25 academic year.

This impressive milestone marks yet another step forward in the school’s continued journey of improvement and success, further demonstrating that BPS is firmly on the up.

Attendance is a key priority at the school, which is now proud to hold the highest attendance of all non-selective schools across the Wirral. This progress is the result of a whole-school approach, underpinned by a proactive attendance team.

Our hardworking, five-strong attendance team works closely with students and families to identify challenges and provide tailored support. At the heart of the team is Kellie, who has recently been recognised for her fantastic impact by being shortlisted for Support Star of the Year at the prestigious Educate Awards 2025.

Kellie has worked in attendance for a number of years, and has been a part of The Birkenhead Park School team since July 2022. Her passion for improving student outcomes by focusing on attendance shines through. In her role, she helps provide extra assistance to students and families who need it, ensuring that every young person receives the guidance and encouragement needed to attend school consistently.

Senior Attendance Manager Kellie said: “I’m incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for Support Star of the Year at the Educate Awards! This recognition reflects not just my work, but the dedication and tireless efforts shown by our amazing attendance support team. The most rewarding part of my role is seeing students overcome barriers, start attending regularly, and ultimately achieve success - that’s what makes it all worthwhile.”

Everyone at BPS would like to congratulate Kellie on this remarkable recognition and wish her the very best of luck ahead of the Educate Awards ceremony, taking place this November.

The Birkenhead Park School remains committed to building on this momentum, continuing to give every student the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
